How is Chris liking the carbs? I was given some smaller throttle bodies if he wants to make them stock size again for better bottom end, or if he wants to put back his single thats cool too.

I bought a race car project for the turbo motor. Its a 70 sun roof beetle with full roll cage rancho pro street tranny with .388 ring pinion and super diff. Also came with. Boost guage and tachometer. Front disk brakes with drop spindles. Fiber glass front end. (looks early). One piece front windows. Sport seats with seat belt harness. And a short shifter.  Holley fuel pump oil cooler and filter with electric fan. And grand total was 840 dollars. Including gas to tow it from long beach to its new home.

Finally my web 86b 112 lobe center cam came along with my lube a lifter scat lifters chromolly push rods and scat 1.4 ratio rockers. Pix coming soon. Took the whole engine to my job and cleaned it in the parts washer so everything is squeeky clean. Now im going to inspect bearings and start assembly. Anyone know what cam gear i should use? Not sure if this cam will work with straight cut or helilical cam gear.

Either stock or straight cut will work. Straight cuts are a bit noisy just make sure to get a good quality set like Magnum or you will be sorry.

What size bearings did you need?
